A topper does something a wig can't. It covers the crown and parting — where thinning usually shows first — and blends into your own hair around it. Your hairline stays your hairline. Your length stays your length. Nobody is looking at where a cap ends, because there isn't one.
If you still have hair around the sides and back but the top has thinned, this is almost always the better choice. It's lighter, cooler, quicker to put on, and it looks like your own hair because half of it is.
The base — and why 6" x 6.5" matters
This is a mid-to-large lace base, measuring 6 inches by 6.5 inches. That's enough to cover the full crown and the parting area with room to spare, so the coverage extends beyond the thinning rather than stopping at its edge — which is what stops a topper looking like a patch.
Six small clips positioned all the way around the base, rather than the three or four found on smaller toppers. More clips means the weight is spread across more anchor points, so it sits flatter, holds more securely through a full day, and pulls less on any one spot — which matters if your hair is fragile.

The colour

19 inches, naturally wavy
Long for a topper — falling well past the shoulders. The wave helps: movement and texture disguise the transition between topper hair and your own far better than poker-straight hair does.
Important on length. A topper works by blending, so it needs to sit close to the length of your own hair. If yours is around shoulder length or longer, 19 inches will blend well. If it's shorter, we can trim this down in the salon — but it can't be lengthened, so come and let us cut it to you rather than guessing.
100% European human hair, medium density
European hair is finer and lighter than the Asian-sourced hair in most toppers, which is exactly what you want in a piece designed to disappear into your own hair. Heavy hair sitting on fine hair reads as added; fine hair on fine hair reads as yours.
Medium density for the same reason. An over-dense topper creates more volume on top than around the sides, and that contrast is the giveaway.
Because it's real hair, 13F can be washed, straightened, curled, trimmed and professionally toned.
