A silk top is the highest-specification cap construction in wig-making, and it's what separates 6K from a standard lace piece.
Here's what it does. On an ordinary cap, the knots where hair is tied to the base sit on the surface — visible as tiny dark points against the scalp area. A silk top hides them underneath a layer of silk fabric, so the hair appears to emerge from skin rather than from a knot. Look down at the parting and you see scalp, not mesh.
It takes considerably longer to construct, which is why silk tops cost more. It's also why they hold up to close inspection in a way nothing else does — this is the cap for anyone who works closely with people, or who simply doesn't want to think about whether the parting is convincing.
Multidirectional — no fixed parting
The hair is tied so it can be brushed and worn in any direction. Centre parting today, side parting tomorrow, swept back the day after. Nothing is locked in.
That's genuinely rare. Most wigs are built with a set parting and fight you if you try to move it. Multidirectional construction means 6K can be restyled as often as you like, which makes it the piece to own if you're wearing a wig daily rather than occasionally.
The colour
Multi-tonal blonde — several tones worked through the hair rather than a single flat shade.
This matters more in blonde than any other colour family. A one-tone blonde is the most obvious wig colour there is; real blonde hair is never uniform, it shifts lighter at the ends and around the face and deeper underneath. 6K carries that variation, which is what makes it read as hair rather than as a colour.
The cut
Layered front and back, running from 16 inches at the longest to 9 inches at the shortest layer. That's a proper graduated cut, not a single blunt length.
Combined with high density, it gives you a full, moving shape with real body. Layers are what let dense hair look full rather than heavy — the shorter pieces lift and separate, so volume sits where it should instead of forming a solid mass at the crown.

A medium cap with a comb at the front, two small clips at either side and adjustable straps at the back for size.

Lightened hair is porous and picks up brassiness. A purple toning shampoo every third or fourth wash keeps the tones clean — not every wash, which flattens the dimension you paid for. Keep heat moderate, and rinse after swimming.
